Main Purpose:
The Workstudy Officer is responsible for analyzing, planning, and optimizing production processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
This role involves conducting time and motion studies, developing standard operating procedures, and ensuring the effective utilization of resources.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of garment manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct time and motion studies to measure and analyze the time taken for each operation within the production process.
- Identify areas of inefficiency and suggest improvements to enhance productivity.
- Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks and waste.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow and reduce production time and costs.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for various production activities.
- Train production staff on SOPs to ensure consistency and quality in manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate the utilization of labor, machinery, and materials to ensure optimal use of resources.
- Make recommendations for resource allocation to maximize productivity.
- Monitor production performance against established benchmarks and KPIs.
- Generate reports on production efficiency, downtime, and other key metrics.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovations in manufacturing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the clothing manufacturing industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in time and motion study techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Proficient in using MS Office and industry-specific software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and safety regulations in the clothing industry.
