Main Purpose:
Lead a team to meet production targets, manage equipment, and oversee all sublimation related operations in accordance with schedules and responsible for maintenance of all sublimation machinery. The Sublimation Manager will report directly to the Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and meet daily sublimation targets, including print, transfer, lasercutting, sealing and sorting departments.
- Establish and maintain printer profiles and machine calibration.
- Assign jobs to appropriate printers & heat presses.
- Set and manage daily targets for all operators.
- Record downtime accurately.
- Manage machine breakdowns accordingly.
- Maintain sublimation quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Enforce disciplinary code.
- Implement preventive maintenance plan for all machinery.
- Assist with sublimation duties as a secondary responsibility to managerial duties.
Managerial Functions:
- Monitor progress and liaise with relevant departments for deviations from the production schedule.
- Continuously monitor quality of sublimation work.
- Manage bottlenecks.
- Develop contingency plans for critical operations.
- Problem-solve where needed to ensure downtime is minimized.
- Schedule overtime/short-time as needed
- Conduct staff training & upskill/cross training programs to optimize performance.
- Fulfill any additional duties assigned by superiors
Requirements:
- 3+ Years in a similar role with managerial responsibilities
- 5+ Years sublimation experience
- Experience with colour profiles.
- Experience with sublimation printer & heat press maintenance
- Proficient in Google suite & Microsoft Office
- Excellent problem solving ability.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to motivate a team.
- Knowledge of industry-specific best practices and trends.
