Legal Contracts Manager

We are hiring a full-time Legal Contracts Manager to join the EMEA regional Contracts & Negotiations team to support our business activities in Africa with the focus on complex solutions agreements that combine intelligent hardware, software and professional services, including digital transformation and software sales agreements. The Contracts & Negotiations team forms part of the wider global legal team in the Office of the General Counsel.
You will have a sound background in commercial law with a focus on the pre-award phase of contract negotiation together with good drafting and contract analysis skills and experience.
This role works collaboratively across business units and sales by implementing our contracting process while valuing our customers, the pursuit of excellence, speed, integrity, and people.
You would get the opportunity to:
Lead the negotiation and drafting of solution, services, software and other sale agreements, subcontracts, and non-disclosure agreements, as well as master services and licensing agreements for industrial customers. Develop and execute the negotiation plan and strategy and manage and coordinate internal and external communications, facilitate escalations and approvals within the organization and address queries from our customers. Collaborate and partner effectively with the Business Units, Sales, Finance, different Legal functions and other teams. Serve as a trusted advisor to the company on contractual risks, rights, and remedies. Develop and carry out training plans on company contracting processes. Network globally with a diverse and inclusive team of more than 28,000 Rockwell Automation employees. Grow personally and professionally through continuous learning and development of skills. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in law or business or related field. About 5 years of experience in negotiating terms and conditions of sales or purchase contracts. Proven skills in drafting commercial transactions, including product sale, software licensing, provision of services and solutions (FIDIC and/or NEC contracts experience is a plus). Excellent negotiator with strong influencing skills that can plan, manage, and conduct negotiations. Excellent English speaking, comprehension, and writing skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build and manage relationships. Flexible and adaptable in a fast paced, deadline driven work environment. Attention to detail and creative results-oriented individual with a focus on value-added service. Strategic business focus as well as a strong code of ethics. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong negotiation experience with the manufacturing industry is a plus. Occasional business travel within the region.
