Summary:
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities that can drive revenue growth for an organization. They are responsible for creating and implementing strategies aimed at promoting the organization’s products or services to potential clients, partners, or other stakeholders. Having various industry experience/exposure in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Mining, Retail, and FMCG would be an advantage.
Criteria:
- National diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing and communications.
- 4+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in a hunter sales role, with a focus on generating new business.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High standards for professionalism and presentation.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with industry tools and programs.

- Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified leads.
- Building relationships with potential clients and partners through networking, outreach, and marketing efforts.

- Negotiating contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of the organization’s products or services and effectively communicating their value proposition to potential clients.
- Tracking and reporting on sales and business development activities to internal stakeholders.
