In the case of an existing component not being according to NCP Standard, Modifications must be done to get the component to NCP Standard. After components are modelled, assemblies are created to fit existing &/or new components together and check if all components fit as should. Components that require modification and new components must be detailed out in detail for manufacturing. This requires the draftsman to understand the fundamentals of Tolerances, geometrical tolerances, machining Symbols, and welding symbols on drawings and know how to Model and do assemblies in Inventor as most of the work will be done in Inventor. Communicating with Project- and Design Engineers The draftsman will work hand in hand with the project Engineers.
