This is the role
The EHS Libryo Engineering Delivery Manager is responsible for the following:
● Plan, coordinate and supervise engineering projects and supervise multiple teams
● Build and manage diverse teams of engineers from different disciplines
● Formulate and execute strategies, and coordinate with other managers
● Determining the need for training and talent development
● Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering department across all teams
● Hiring, recruiting and training of engineering talent
● Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering team competence
● Develop evaluation criteria that will serve to measure progress and effectiveness of departmental operations
● Provide performance ratings and reviews for team members
● Review department objectives for adequacy and consistency with business
objectives
● Monthly reporting of departmental metrics
● Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness
● Define, manage, measure and report relevant Key Performance Indicators
● Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness
● Identifies resource needs and develops justification
● Coach and develop members of the engineering team.
Requirements
● Understand scaling and enjoy the opportunity to grow an engineering team
● Decision making, problem-solving and have excellent organisational skills to
balance and prioritise work
● Lead teams and work jointly across departments
● Above average analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve people and process problems
● Great attention to detail
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● At least 10 years of experience managing/working in engineering teams
