Job Title: Plant Manager – Mining

We are looking for a Plant Manager with experience in the mining industry to oversee the operations of our mining plant in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant, as well as managing a team of employees to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards.
Responsibilities:
– Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance
– Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and productivity
– Manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
– Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including health and safety standards
– Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress towards production targets
– Identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs
– Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and logistics, to ensure smooth operation of the plant
– Review and approve budgets and expenditures for the plant
– Build positive relationships with stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and local communities
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
– At least 5 years of experience in a management role in the mining industry
– Knowledge of mining processes and equipment, as well as health and safety regulations
– Strong leadership and communication skills
– Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
– Proven track record of achieving production targets and improving plant performance
– Experience managing a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
