Job Description Our client is a leading supplier of high-quality furniture to the corporate and hospitality markets.
They are seeking a motivated and dynamic New Business Development sales professional to join their team. This role involves selling our client's full range of office and hospitality furniture, as well as their metal fabrication products, to various industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, building client relationships, and managing the entire sales process. This position requires a self-starter who is willing to travel extensively within South Africa and neighboring countries as needed.
Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential clients in the corporate, hospitality, electrical, data, brand rollout, agriculture, and telecoms industries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering tailored solutions to meet their business needs.
- Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing deals and after-sales support.
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure successful delivery and installation of products.
- Stay informed about industry trends, products, and competitors to remain competitive in the market.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to promote the client's products and services.
Requirements
- A tertiary degree or diploma, or proof of other tertiary education, is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (proficiency in Excel is required) and CRM software.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in office furniture or related industries.
- Must have own car and a valid driver’s license.
- Must be willing to travel extensively within South Africa and neighboring countries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
