Overview
Hire Resolve is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our Clients team as the Head of Business Development for our solar energy and storage division in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of business development activities, driving growth and revenue in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and profitability in the solar energy and storage sector
– Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand our presence in Cape Town
– Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and potential clients
– Lead a team of business development professionals to achieve targets and objectives
– Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives
– Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and results to senior management
Qualifications and Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the solar energy and storage industry
– Proven track record of meeting and exceeding business development targets and KPIs
– Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
– Excellent negotiation and networking abilities
– Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, particularly solar energy and energy storage technologies
– Experience working in Cape Town or the South African market is a plus
