Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Available to greet members and guests and provide exceptional Service and attention at all times
- Able to communicate with the Kitchen and members on food preparation, menus , functions and timing.
- Assist in planning and implementing procedures for all Club Functions and Food & Beverage Events.
- Able to communicate fully, with clients and guests as well as the wait staff on pre and post function operations.
- Assist F&B Manager in day-to-day operations, administration, controls and reporting on a professional level.
- Assures all standard operating procedures for revenue, cost control is in place and consistently utilized.
- Deliver training to staff on different aspects of service and product knowledge.
- Help develop wine menus and regularly meet with beverage suppliers to source artisan wines and exciting products.
- Weekly rostering of F&B Staff. Manage overtime and report weekly on staff hours together with the F&B Manager.
- Ensure daily cleanliness and presentation of all Clubhouse Areas are according to the highest Standards, with specific attention to detail.
- Maintains appearance, upkeep and controls of all food and Beverage Equipment and assist in reducing breakages or shrinkage.
- Ensure overall cleanliness of Men’s Locker room and Staff facilities.
- Report and ensure maintenance issues are resolved timeously and within budget.
- Assist with Monthly stock takes of all beverage areas and wine cellar.
- Host evening functions and cellar dinners, ensuring exceptional service throughout the member’s/guest’s dining experience.
- Assist in handling complaints and reporting to F&B Manager or General Manager for appropriate corrective action.
- Ensure Health and Safety regulations are upheld in both public areas and staff areas.
- Assist in upholding Company policies and procedures. Report any problems that may arise with staff. Counsel and discipline accordingly.

- Ability to seek new and innovative ideas to meet and respond to the needs of members without compromising the tradition of the club.
- Punctual, honest, reliable, neat, well presented and of sober habits.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, exercise excellent judgement and decision making and be totally member and guest driven.
- Able to multitask and work to tight deadlines when necessary and produce high quality work under pressure.
- Be a Team player and able to motivate colleagues and subordinates.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be familiar with Jonas Club management system.
- Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to work on weekends and Evenings.
- Own transport and valid driver’s licence required.
- Candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience within a 5 star Restaurant/hotel or upmarket golfing environment.
- Valid Qualification in Food and Beverage Management.
