Job Description
A leading organisation is looking for an Exchange Control Compliance Specialist to join their team. The main purpose of the role is to provide independent review and consulting services designed to add value and improve the overall effectiveness of the related controls, risk management, and governance processes for all transactions and products within the bank. Provide support to Senior Manager - Exchange Control Compliance.
Responsibilities:
Deliver meaningful sustainable savings in FSD. No losses to be incurred due to incorrect processes followed. Assist all staff within FSD to achieve objectives, provide quality service to internal and external clients and participate in team meetings to achieve Department goals. Doing the right thing which includes promoting “ask the right questions” campaign and lead by example. Assessing the learning needs and understanding the risk across the workforce. Implement the standard governance framework for risk management. Identify Management Self-Identified Items on a proactive scale and manage these risks. Implement a Service Quality approach for FSD Services and improving input quality across the business. Implement a customer insight program to identify what aspects of FSD Services matters the most to customers. Achieve a % dual control and quality assurance process for Exchange Control and Regulatory Reporting requirements. Assure ongoing compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions. Monitor risk management activities. Co-ordinate and support on and offsite audits from SARB. Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions. Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues. Coordinate all vendor management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors and internal employees. Ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance. Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to management as required. Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions. Stimulate steady process enhancement to present increasing operational efficiency in entire business partner processes.
Requirements:
Degree in Finance is preferable Proven experience in Quality Control is an advantage 5 to 10 years banking & exchange control experience Substantial knowledge of Exchange Control and Reporting requirements (interpret rules & regulations/
reporting rules)
Basic Microsoft skills, i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint
