Core Description
Responsible for optimizing and enhancing profitability across BCX’s product and service portfolio through the analysis of product and customer profitability, market benchmarking, and the establishment of internal performance and profitability guardrails.
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
• Analyze and manage the profitability of BCX’s products, ensuring that each offering contributes positively to the overall financial performance. Implement strategies to optimize product mix and pricing to enhance profitability.
• Collaborate to assess and improve customer profitability, identifying high-value customer segments and developing tailored strategies to maximize financial returns from these relationships.
• Develop sophisticated profitability models to forecast financial outcomes and assess various business scenarios, ensuring alignment with BCX’s strategic goals. Apply these models to both traditional ICT and XaaS offerings.
• Conduct detailed market benchmarking to compare BCX’s profitability metrics against competitors and industry standards. Use these insights to drive competitive advantage and inform strategic adjustments.
• Implement controls to maintain profitability within acceptable thresholds.
• Analyse cost structures related to BCX’s offerings and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements that enhance profitability without compromising value.
• Work closely with product development, sales, and business teams to create and implement initiatives that boost profitability, particularly in transitioning from traditional ICT models to XaaS.
• Ensure that profitability strategies are aligned with customer value propositions, focusing on delivering high customer satisfaction while maintaining or improving profit margins.
• Leverage advanced data analytics to generate actionable insights into profitability trends, supporting continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications
NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in Actuary/Finance
Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in pricing/costing and profitability with relevant exposure to the ICT sector and the full accounting function.
