Core Description
To provide leadership and strategic management of the Application Innovations capabilities. Leads the implementation of cutting-edge applications and solutions, driving technological advancement to meet strategic goals. Steer the innovation strategies, fostering a culture of creativity and overseeing the lifecycle of application development from ideation to development.
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
- Formulate and implement the Innovation strategy for current and future market forces and movements and in alignment with the Solutions strategy TO define the go-to-market strategy in support of Group strategic drivers.
- Lead the design, release, testing, integration and development of digital software engineering products/solutions in alignment with high levels of quality, standards and operability as defined within negotiated and agreed service level agreements, service level parameters or contracts.
- Monitor financial performance continuously against set financial targets, forecast and identifying new opportunities for improved performance.
- Overseeing the development Teams and evaluation of emerging technologies
- Manage and/or oversee multiple, large-scale, concurrent projects to successful completion in accordance with scope, budget/ service level agreements and ensure the delivery of embedded integration products/ solutions.
- Develop new business and operating models that take advantage of new domains, functional, technology and information assets within the software area.
- Promote and facilitate optimum engagement between BCX Divisions to design and build digital solutions and services.
- Establish and enhance relationships and network with strategic partners, customers and vendors to create market dominance including relationships with internal stakeholders along the value chain that will enable the delivery of integrated ICT solutions to the strategic corporate customers.
- Thought leadership to embed a culture of innovation through leveraging intellectual property, research and development to support, fund and facilitate strategic innovation projects.
- Technical input into proposals, RFPs or client discussions in support of the sales process.
- Manage annual budget and forecasts within strategic guidelines, directing and coordinating activities.

Minimum Qualifications
NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in IT/Business/Commerce
OR NQF 4: Grade 12
Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage
Experience
7 years’ experience in application innovation solutions within a large and highly complex organisation, of which 2 years must be at senior management level.
OR
9 years’ experience in application innovation solutions within a large and highly complex organisation, of which 2 years must be at senior management level.
