Core Description
To oversee and manage the statutory reporting, financial planning, and analysis functions of the company, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to support decision-making at the executive level
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
Statutory Reporting:
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Coordinate with external auditors, treasury and tax to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of annual reports and other statutory disclosures.
• Manage the company's relationship with regulatory authorities and shareholders
Financial Planning & Analysis:
• Develop and implement financial planning and forecasting models.
• Prepare financial projections and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Provide financial support for strategic activities such as BCX strategic modelling, work closely with the pricing teams and with the team engaging in any acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures.
• Analyse financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare Telkom, Investor, board and executive management reports on financial performance and outlook.
Risk Management:
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
• Ensure that there is adequate end to end financial controls
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
• Monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with internal audit and the risk team to ensure adherence to the financial control environment requirements
Team Management:
• Lead and manage a team of financial professionals, including statutory reporting, financial planning, and analysis specialists.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent.

Minimum Qualifications
NQF 8: Honours Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma in Finance
An MBA or other Leadership Development Programme would be an added advantage.
Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage
Experience
- Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years’ working experience in financial management, analysis, modelling, and tracking.
- At least four (4) years’ experience in managing different teams of specialists.
Certifications
Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry
CIMA - Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
Level of Engagement & Span of Control
