Core Description
Responsible for the planning and execution of project staging activities on Retail IT systems, as well as assisting with installations, discontinuance, and repairs.
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
- Image, build, configure and stage IT systems (PC’s/Network equipment/servers/cameras/handheld devices) using standard business and administrative packages, to ensure full functionality before deployment to customer project site.
- Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including hardware and software issues, network, peripheral equipment problems, etc.
- Communicate changes, fixes and processes to the management.
- Assist Technical Support with the planning, design, research and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems.
- Perform all necessary activities to keep infrastructure, diagnostics, tools and service aids in ready condition.
- Execute installation plans of projects as assigned by Project Management.
- Support with the picking, packing and dispatch of equipment to customer project sites, ensuring the inclusion of the staging documentation that was completed.

Minimum Qualifications
NQF 4: Grade 12 National Diploma
Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage
Experience
Minimum 2-years’ experience in attending to, and installing of, hardware solutions within the Retail Environment
Certifications
Comptia A+ and Network
Microsoft Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry
