Assisting the CI department by improving the plant productivity, quality, cost, and safety by leading / assisting with the implementation of kaizen improvement ideas & projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Implementation of employee improvement suggestions requests
· Designing of technical solution adequate to a specific application.
· Execution/implementation of projects
· Pre- and post-processing of projects
· Coming up with suggestions for improving the process and working methods
· Work performed in accordance with health and safety regulations at the workplace.
· Decision making deciding how to implement Kaizen ideas.
· Rationalization proposals implemented and bringing measurable savings
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supporting CI department in Lean Training Events
· Conduct random 5S Audits.
· Follow work instructions, procedures, drawings, and other technical documents.
· Providing material for implementation
· Attention to safety (safety goggles, clothing)
· Assist with problem solving issues.
· Good housekeeping to working area.
· Good and safe handling of equipment to prevent damage facility assets.
· Generate / implement continuous improvement ideas.
· Implement cost savings initiatives where applicable.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
Grade 12 qualification preferred & welding trade certification, with four to six years of welding experience in manufacturing environment.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems, involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
