Job Description
Seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity for career advancement into a Financial Manager position. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of a B Com Accounting degree and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the moving/logistics industry.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to summarize and forecast a company's financial position. - Bookkeeping:
Record financial transactions, maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, and ensure that all financial data is entered correctly. - Budgeting:
Assist in the budgeting process by creating budgets, comparing actual financial results to budgets, and providing insights to help control costs and improve profitability. - Tax Preparation and Compliance:
Prepare tax returns, ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and identify tax savings opportunities for the organization. - Financial Analysis:
Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and potential risks. This analysis helps in making informed business decisions. - Auditing:
Conduct internal audits to ensure the accuracy of financial records and compliance with policies and procedures. May also work with external auditors during the audit process. - Financial Planning:
Help develop and implement financial strategies to achieve the organization's goals, such as improving cash flow, reducing costs, or expanding operations. - Risk Management:
Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, such as setting up internal controls or implementing insurance policies. - Financial Advisory:
Provide financial advice and recommendations to management based on their analysis of financial data, helping the organization make sound financial decisions.

Requirements
- B Com Accounting degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices in the moving/logistics industry
