Role:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and meticulous Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Department. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, providing crucial support in maintaining our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, and posting journal entries.
- Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assisting with the management of accounts payable and receivable.
- Conducting routine financial analyses to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Preparing VAT returns and liaising with HMRC as required.
- Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial processes.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- AAT qualification or currently studying towards an accounting qualification is preferred.
- Prior experience in an accounts assistant role or similar.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive attitude and an ability to work both independently and within a team.
