A well-established Company in Benoni is looking for a Procurement Administrator.
Basic Criteria:
- Supplier Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable delivery lead times and pricing.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all procurement transactions.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured materials and products meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.
- Cost Control: Monitor and analyse procurement costs, identifying opportunities for cost-saving initiatives (work on 3 quote system).
- Transport Arrangement: Arrange transport for collection/deliveries of certain procured items and deliveries on (WIP) or finished products.
- Import/Export Administration: Assist in import/export administration activities.
- Purchase Orders: Raise POs from BOM (Bill of Materials) and send them out to suppliers to expedite these orders.
- Communication: Communicate any delays or interruptions in supply well in advance to management.
- Supplier Queries: Resolve supplier queries and assist accounts with any procurement-related queries.
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement: A certification or diploma in purchasing.
- 2-3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Computer literate with some ERP knowledge.
- Needs to reside in the East Rand area.
- A valid driver's license is needed.
- Own reliable transport.
