Position Summary
The Recruiter primarily makes outbound calls to potential candidates, sources candidates, and attends job fairs. Recruiters are problem solvers with good negotiation skills who are self-driven and motivated to meet individual and team goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create Requisition on DayForce for new openings
- Ensure all jobs are posted in compliance with company guidelines
- Source candidates using various job boards and social networking platforms
- Participate in community engagement activities to attract candidates
- Prescreen candidates
- Screen candidates before conducting 1st interviews
- If a candidate has employment history with ACT, review Rehire Policy
- Conduct 1st interviews
- Review attendance policy and send any day off requests to operations for approval via email
- Conduct reference checks
- Communicate with appropriate Hiring Manager/Trainer regarding new classes
- Update Recruiting Dashboard
- Conduct post-offering screenings, ensuring that all new candidates complete Drug & Alcohol tests (if applicable) and background screenings
- Participate in daily meetings to provide reports of progress
- Maintain a spreadsheet with class information, candidates hired, and rejected candidates
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous experience in recruiting and interviews is a must
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
- Data entry and basic computer skills
- Education: High School diploma
