We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a leading global business services provider. Applicants will need to be a qualified accountant with experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) / Finance Business Partner role.
The Financial Accountant role is crucial in managing and analysing financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the company s financial health. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and hold bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Financial Accountant Key duties:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Reconcile accounts and resolve any issues that arise.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Audit Support: Prepare documentation and support external auditors during the annual audit process. Address any audit queries or findings as required.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Candidate requirements:
- Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
