What Were Looking For:
To be successful in this role, youll need:
Formal Education:
- Grade 12 (NQF 4)
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology (NQF 6) or relevant years of experience and/or technical certification
- Based in Port Elizabeth
Experience: - 5 7 years of relevant experience in the telecoms industry
- Experience with PABX and voice gateways (e.g., Audiocodes, SBC)
Technical/Legal Certification: - Appropriate NEC Certification (advantageous)
- PABX certification essential
- A+ and N+ certification
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and manage various PBXes and network-related services for our customers.
- Achieve high standards of customer satisfaction through timely and well-managed projects.
- Respond to customer queries and complaints effectively.
- Perform second and third level support for day-to-day operations.
- Evaluate, implement, and train on new technologies to enhance PBX and network services.
- Deploy and plan technology initiatives.
- Implement patches and upgrades of PBXes and network features.
- Ensure projects adhere to the Gijima process.
- Take ownership of successful ongoing service delivery post-project completion.
- Account for timely delivery of major projects.
- Foster cooperative working across functional boundaries.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot large voice-related product and service solutions in consulting roles.
- Proactively identify system problems before they impact client systems.
- Ensure minimum system downtime and maintain high operational quality at all times.
