Coot Club is a unique ‘for-return / for-conservation’ small retreat development in a 464 Ha private nature reserve located in Overberg. Situated 2 hours from Cape Town, between Stanford and Hermanus, Coot Club is nestled between the Klein Rivier lagoon and the Walker Bay Nature Reserve. Coot Club was recently awarded the Condé Nast Hotel of the Year Award and we are looking for a dynamic, energetic individual to join our team.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Relief Manager at Coot Club. The Relief Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining the overall quality of the retreat. The position spans across three departments within our business, namely Clubhouse (Front of House) Management to relieve the Clubhouse Manager on their off week, Reception to relieve the Receptionist on their off week and Accommodation and General Management. Therefore knowledge across a broad spectrum of the hospitality sector is a requirement.
The position works on a three consecutive weeks on, one week off roster.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years experience in hospitality management, customer service, and team leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional structure and attention to detail is necessary
- Ability to put systems into place and implement systems
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Flexibility and the ability to work in a dynamic, remote location
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Driver's License

Renumeration starts at R12000 a month before deductions and includes accommodation, WiFi, Laundry Services, dinner when on duty. Salary is negotiable depending on the experience of a suitable candidate.
