An established and fast-growing Assurance, Accounting and Consulting firm in the Cape Winelands is looking to appoint an ambitious Audit Professional to their team. This position is perfect for an individual who has a passion for audit and wants to move rapidly through the ranks with a great possibility of directorship.
The ideal candidate must have completed SAICA articles, be a registered Chartered Accountant or eligible to register. Supervisory experience and post-articles experience in assurance will be highly advantageous. The incumbent must be ambitious, wanting to grow as an individual, within the firm and have the hunger to progress to a senior position.
The firm renders a wide range of services in accordance with its core values and objectives and focuses on small, medium and large-sized businesses. The firm provides professional services across the Western and Southern Cape regions. The directors are chartered accountants and are registered auditors with the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce client reports (AFS, Minutes, Certificates, Management letters, etc.).
- Propose and finalise audit opinions.
- Audit assignment budget planning and management.
- Monitoring and evaluation of performance in relation to the budget.
- Conduct full audit file reviews and related reports to ensure the relevant files are ready for sign-off.
- Perform tax return reviews.
- Manage resourcing and plotting of staff members on audit engagements.
- Work allocations as required by individual audit assignments.
- Ensure audit planning documentation is completed.
- Approve timesheets.
- Perform billings and manage WIP.
- Performance management of staff members including, continuously providing feedback to staff.
- Provide technical assistance to staff members (where required).
- Maintain excellent client relationships.
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Accounting or SAICA accredited degree.
- CA(SA) or eligible to register.
- Completed SAICA articles.
- Supervisory and management experience a positive.
- Thorough knowledge of IFRS for SME's, IFRS, ISA, and taxation.
- Experience with CaseWare.

Remuneration:
R400,000 to R720,000 ctc per annum.
