We have an exciting, in-office job opportunity for a Senior Account Manager at a fabulous integrated creative agency based in Cape Town’s northern suburbs. As a link between clients and the agency, you will be responsible for the coordination of advertising campaigns and communicating clearly to all those involved. You should be comfortable working through-the-line. The Account Manager must understand their clients’ needs and objectives and liaise closely with them throughout campaigns, often on a daily basis. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain professional relationships with Clients/ Potential Clients by meeting and identifying their advertising requirements Liaise with the different business units within the company to devise advertising campaigns that meets the clients brief Co-ordinate Advertising Campaigns and communicate clearly to all involved Co-ordinate the production process with in-house teams Make sure work is completed on time and within Budget Generate fresh, saleable ideas Contribute to the writing of insightful, single-minded briefs Take and write comprehensive briefs Advise on, liaise with and action the client’s ongoing marketing and advertising requirements Manage the effective coordination and administration of a share of the business/ campaigns Prepare relevant reports and job briefs/ amendments Organise regular internal and external client meetings Assist with budget control across all accounts Assist with compiling client competitor information and activity Work with the creative and strategy teams to produce presentation material Assist with conference/ Events/ Expo/ Sponsorship requirements Deliver POS / Ticketing campaigns Coordinate weekly TV Production Execute ad-hoc jobs, as and when required.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
Certificate/Diploma/BA Degree specialising in Sales and/or Marketing or a related field 5 years proven experience in client service, or in similar level sales/customer service role Agency experience is a must Able to work through-the-line Retail experience Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software is a plus Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills, in at least English and Afrikaans Ability to build strong and mutually rewarding professional relationships Strong organisational and time-management skills A strong business acumen Enthusiastic and passionate Strong sales and customer service skills Knowledge of the latest advertising and marketing trends Proficiency with numbers, budgets, and time management Ability to present ideas, negotiate and problem solve Own transport is essential.
