Our Client:
A leading motorhome manufacturing and sales company is seeking a General Manager to start as soon as possible.
Package:
R 10 000 to R 12 500 Basic salary
Provident Fund after 6 month employment
About the Role
The Technical Buyer will provide a support function to the Support Services Co-ordinator and will lead and coordinate the purchase and delivery of assigned commodities and services in a manner that is consistent with company policies and performance goals.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate prices with local suppliers specifying quality, quantity and delivery dates.
- Ensure that the factory (Production + Assembly) Bobo; Parasol (local) do not run out of stock for the building of motorhomes, etc..
- Analyze the MRP and MBL Reports and order stock accordingly.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for suppliers and equipment.
- Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy. Price descriptions. Maintain supplier files regarding quality info and pricing.
- Respond to inquiries of staff and suppliers for the purpose of providing information and / or regarding the status of inventory and / or deliveries.
- The employee has to perform and finish all his / her work as to the quality specifications as laid down by your direct superior.
- Double checking and correcting all re-order quantities on Syspro so that we are better able to trust our reports and records.
- Updating price lists on record.
- Performing clerical duties for the purpose of supporting department functions.
- Processes a variety of documents and materials (e.g. purchase orders, WIP documentation, work requests requisitions, etc.) for the purpose of dissemination information and items as appropriate.
- Ensure that all purchase orders are delivered on time and in accordance with factory manufacturing dates.
- Mail handling – store documentation.
- Report back to Support Services Manager regarding all outstanding purchase orders on a bi- weekly basis.
- The employee has to abide to the rules and regulations as laid down by the employer.
Applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Have a minimum of 1 year + experience using Syspro
- Be proficient in MS Office suite
- Have excellent organizational skills
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to multi-task and prioritize
- Grade 12
