About the role

We are searching for Red Seal qualified Millwrights, Diesel Mechanics and/or Instrument Technicians who will assume the responsibility of maintaining the overall effectiveness of equipment and plant on site, which includes Electrical and Mechanical support with underground mining experience.

The successful candidates will be working out of Sandton, Johannesburg as a home base, but the majority of time will be based on our customer mining sites across Africa, Southern Europe, and Kazakhstan.

What you will be doing

Performing site specialist support to the maintenance team on maintenance practice and problem solving.
Keeping downtime to a minimum during site operation and eliminating unplanned stops.
World Class safety and engineering practices executed on the ORICA sites.
Processing necessary documentation on site and providing regular and clear feedback using feedback reports.
Conducting root cause investigations and implementing countermeasures where needed.
Conducting daily Plant inspections where needed with the operations and maintenance teams on sites.

What you will bring

Grade 12 with a Minimum NQF 5 Electro-Mechanical qualification, Electrical, Diesel Mechanic.
Trade Test Certificate, Red seal Section 13.
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in explosive industry, specifically drill and blast environment in the maintenance & engineering field.
Valid code 08 driver’s license.
Ability to work independently.
