Hire Resolve's Client is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide support to the finance department, ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to grow their career in accounting and finance.
This is a one month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extending to a three month fixed term contract, following which a permanent position may be offered depending on performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Creditors Functions
- Process invoices and payments
- Reconcile statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support in the preparation of financial reports and budgeting activities
- Assist with payroll processing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Provide administrative support to the finance team
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Experience with bookkeeping
