Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 or N2 Trade Theory
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related field
- English – speaking and writing.
- 3+ years supervisory experience in a similar or related environment
- Food Safety knowledge a must – FSSC 22000
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensures maintenance objectives are met through the supervision and scheduling of staff, coaching, communicating job expectations, planning and organising work in adherence to policies and procedures.
- Meets maintenance operational standards by ensuring that the team implements the Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects focusing on the impact on maintenance activities.
- Effectively manage all maintenance issues and ensure they are carried out by relevant Technicians.
- Effectively schedule both internal and external work maximising planned down time and reducing unplanned down time.
- Investigate, resolve and report on all maintenance issues, faults and repairs.
Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose:
- Manages routine calibration and maintenance requirements of all systems.
- Ensures that processes and procedures are adhered to in order to maintain high standards of all work.
- Supervision of contractors on site.
The supervisor will be leading the following team:
- X4 Technicians (mix of Fitter/Welder/Millwright)
- X1 Maintenance Assistant
- X1 Assistant Stores person – orders spares, job card admin
