Supply Chain Distribution is responsible for operating SMC’s logistics infrastructure for the aftermarket. The logistics infrastructure delivers logistics services that are fulfilling the service requirements set by SMC. The warehouse coordinator is responsible for administering and operating the organization's warehouse activities, including processing customer returns for credits, sourcing packaging and efficient storage of supplies, materials and equipment.
Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facility, audits goods received into the warehouse. Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures. Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space. Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment. Business targets for a warehouse operation are:
- Execution of warehouse operations against minimal costs, meeting the service requirements set
- Comply with EHS policy SMC
- Liaise with CSC, freight division and warehouse personnel.
Main responsibilities, Activities, Expected results & Priorities
Accountabilities :
As the Warehouse Coordinator, you will execute administrative processes at key control points within the Warehouse Operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- EHS central point of control regarding all Warehouse EHS requirements
- Executes process control, updates and executes system transactions relevant to each control point continuously and accurately within the warehouse.
- Maintains warehouse controls to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Adheres to warehouse control processes to prevent any possible financial loss.
- Investigates customer queries and LPS deviations to the operational process to resolve issues timeously.
- Actively engages and partners with the customer service center to provide timely feedback and response on all service center queries.
- Documents all relevant internal customer queries in hard and electronic format according to policy and procedure requirements.

Your Profile:
- Grade 12 / equivalent
- Advantageous Certificate and/or Diploma - relevant to the field
