Job Summary
Design, develop and maintain internal learning websites and digital platforms to support and enhance the end-to-end learner experience across multiple learning products and business areas in Absa.
Job Description
- Deliver learning web design and development services across Absa to enable a consistent and enhanced learner experience.
- Understand and apply new and existing best practice technologies and design principles in the implementation of a superior digital learner experience.
- Collaborate with Learning and Development teams and provide guidance on the use of new and existing learning websites with a relevant mix of media and technologies.
- Design, develop, implement and maintain fit-for-purpose internal learning websites for continuous improvement within the context of Group Learning and business strategy.
- Understand business requirements through consultation to effectively deliver appropriate digital solutions aligned to learning and business strategy:
- Identify new learning needs and potential solutions based on performance trends, gaps identified, and business needs.
- Continuously review existing learning websites to align with new developments and requirements within the learning and business community.
- Effectively manage the appropriate digital platforms to deliver relevant, cost-effective and user-friendly solutions and support structures.
- Implement tools to track the use and effectiveness of the learning websites and platforms and enable reporting.
- Stakeholder and supplier management:
- Ensure collaborative relationships across the learning value chain to drive the adoption of best practice technologies.
- Manage contractors/vendors where required.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and be a trusted advisor.

Skills:
- Senior web/graphic designer (with advanced proficiency of Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Web developer (with good working knowledge of HTML and CSS)
- Knowledge of principles of learning design and development
- Ability to formulate governance and guidelines relating to learning academies and websites
- Attention to detail and adherence to quality management standards

Education:
NQF 7 or equivalent qualification in both/either of the following:
- Education, Training and Development
- Web Design and Development
Work Experience:
- 3-5 Years’ experience in designing and developing learning platforms.
- 3-5 Years’ experience in web and graphic design.
