Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Human Resources
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an HR role
- Strong knowledge of South African labour laws and HR best practices
- Knowledge and application of the MIBCO Main Agreement
- Representing the Company at the CCMA and Bargaining Council
- Skill Development Facilitator
- BBBEE and related administration would be an advantage
Duties
Manage the recruitment process, from job postings to interviews and onboarding.
Oversee employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
On request from Plant Management, ensure HR Officer initiates disciplinary interviews / enquiries / counselling sessions.
Liaise with Shop Stewards and staff on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures
Maintain records of disciplinary and grievances cases.
Ensure division HR Officers follow up disciplinary action (issue of warnings etc.)
Ensure HR Officers liaise with Plant Management on time and attendance and compile and issue reports.
Ensure payroll administrator handles pay queries and provides timeous feedback to Employees.
Ensure division HR Officers keep all filing up to date.
Participation and coordination at the following Meetings:
Shop Stewards and Management (Joint Committee).
Employment Equity Committee.
Skills Development Committee.
Social and Ethics Committee.
Keep staff turnover reports up to date for all 4 companies for preparation and submission of Employment Equity reports.
Timeous submission of WCA Return of Earnings and all other statutory returns for all 4 companies.
Liaise between staff and Payroll Office in respect of leave, sick leave, wages and other human resources documentation.
Assist with payroll function if and when required.
Assist and give advice to All Plants on payroll/IR issues.
Assist the Company in developing a Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) which complies with the requirements of MerSETA and the Companys business needs.
Submit WSP and ATR to MerSETA annually.
Represent the company at the CCMA and Bargaining Council.
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
Conduct training needs analysis and coordinate employee development programs.
Monitor and improve employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Prepare HR metrics and reports for management on all Plants and Company.
Collaborate with Management to address organizational challenges.
Submission of Employment Equity quarterly and annual reports.
Administrator of disabled learnership programs.
Be the companys Skills Development Facilitator.
Leave recording and administration.
Submit monthly reports to Executive Management.
