Senior IT Manager Job Description
The Recruitment Council is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Manager to lead our IT team and drive strategic initiatives. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project management efforts to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of projects.
- Oversee the development and implementation of system/application infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance interdepartmental workflows and processes.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality products and services.
- Conduct data analysis to investigate emerging technologies and enhance operational efficiency.
- Achieve client satisfaction objectives to strengthen business IT collaboration.
- Build and maintain professional relationships by understanding and meeting client needs.
- Foster relationships with team members, managers, and peers.
- Support increased delivery capacity by achieving targeted results.
- Ensure proper financing and budget control for the cost center.
- Provide a flexible, low-cost IT operating platform.
- Avoid penalties imposed by third-party agencies.
- Enhance efficiency and productivity monthly in line with departmental strategic plans.
- Meet transformational targets.
- Contribute to team effectiveness by participating in the recruitment and selection of senior staff.
- Support a culture of transformation through participation in company culture-building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.

Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Role-relevant tertiary qualification
Experience:
- 4-6 years experience in IT and BI environments
- Experience with front ends on app and web-based applications or platforms (Angular, iOS, Android)
