Senior Bid Manager (IMPACT Team)

The core purpose of this role is to be responsible for managing the Africa Bid team, growing CE/SE Engagement, and delivering complex new business and defensive bids / reviews / RFP’s / tenders.
Producing high quality reports, literature and presentations to aid sales and retention. Working to deadlines and delivering within required timescales.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the IMPACT team Africa; Responsible for Contribution and Win targets in Africa; Define and scope projects – outputs, timescales, resources/costs andmethodology; Delegating tasks/activities across the team; Production of quality reports and presentations within agreedtimeframes; Working to project management timelines anddisciplines; Managing broking and programme design input with PlacementLeader(s); Meeting with prospects to understand rationale forbid/review; Responsible for developing/encouraging use of Marsh unique service propositions for successfuloutcomes; Working closely with proposed client service team ondeliverables; Undertake specific tasks as directed by management adhering to agreedtimescales .
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree graduate; Knowledge and understanding of relevant insurers, third-party service providers, and their products/services. Awareness of competitors' capabilities; Excellent command of oral and written English; Team Leadership and Management experience; Good communication skills - ability to structure the content of communication effectively; Well organized and efficient with a track record of successfully managing projects. Ability to work within tight timescales and actively contribute to achieving business and team goals. Sound working knowledge with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; Wide knowledge of (non-) standard and complex risks across a full range of insurance classes.
