Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and ensure the successful delivery and management of multiple projects focused on remediating a number of hygiene deliverables for the technology organisation.
Responsibilities:
• Track the execution of technology-focused OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and strategic rollouts, such as API coverage, within the financial services group
• Provide visibility on a set of key multiyear initiatives in execution across the group
• Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and their assignment to various project phases
• Establish a work plan for project activities, iterations or phases
• Manage and lead steering committees for the strategy execution tracking projects
• Produce comprehensive reporting packs for the steering committees and other executive committees highlighting progress, risks, issues, and potential mitigants
• Collaborate closely with execution teams to ensure effective tracking and escalation of project activities
• Monitor project finances where applicable, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints
• Identify and communicate project dependencies, risks, and issues to stakeholders
• Provide regular updates on the status of strategy execution projects to the Office of the CIO
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensure effective communication channels are established
Experience, skill and capability
• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, preferably in the financial services industry
• Strong understanding of technology-related projects and processes
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work with teams across business units and geographic locations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in producing comprehensive reports and presentations
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Relevant project management certifications (, PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable
