BusinessDevelopment and product consultation for the Factory Automation portfolio butwith focus on SCADA solutions in South Africa and surrounding market for WinCCProfessional, WinCC Unified, WinCC V7/8, Braumat, WinCC OA and IPC’s.
Responsibilities ofthe Role
Supportsthe respective sales organization of the unit in approaching and servingpotential customers best and advise both sales organization and customers incapabilities and options how to use and integrate Siemens' offeringseffectively (Simatic WinCC, TIA Portal, S7 products) Servessales organization and customers as an expert in product application withrespect to the portfolio of the assigned organizational unit. Constantlyanalyzes product portfolio of the dedicated customers client overall goals andobjectives. Consultswith customer stakeholders to integrate Siemens' products and gives strategic,commercial and organizational recommendations. Createsrespective technical and commercial concepts and offerings to support the salesprocess. Plansand completes consulting assignments to industry partners on technical andcommercial level. Takeresponsibility for new orders or consulting projects. Supportthe sales organization in contract negotiations at all stages with informationand analyses. Maybe responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities andinnovating consulting portfolio. Technicalassistance to focus customers Developsand presents PLC/SCADA solution proposals, including estimating, compiling billof materials, system architecture diagrams and RFP/RFQ responses. Providescustomers and account representatives with strategy and solution advice andsupport during Pre-Sales discussions on PLC/SCADA solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
At least 5 years’ project experience in the IndustrialAutomation industry. Computer/Electronic/Electrical engineering degree ordiploma. Technically involved in recentPLC/SCADA project is mandatory General understanding of IT networking and remotecommunication, including GPRS & 3G communication, modems, private APNs,VPNs, routers, LANs, WANs, VLANs, firewalls Basic understanding on industrial communicationProtocols like Profibus, Profinet and MODBUS. Previous experience working with JAVA, SCADA and PLC platforms, includingSiemens technology. (Advantageous) Musthave a basic understanding on industrial communication Protocols like Profibus,Profinet and MODBUS Anunderstanding of horizontal and vertical OT/IT integration Solutionsthinking individual with interested in developing into Automation consultantwith Focus on SCADA systems Willing to travel in and outside the boarders of SouthAfrica. Ability to work autonomously.

Successful delivery of a projectin a team. Team player. Good business etiquette withexcellent communication skills (Both Written and Verbal) Customer first mindset. Willing to evolve with thecurrently technology and business strategy You have worked on many plant control/monitoring projects in this fieldand have personally commissioned a few of them. You communicate respect and know how to deal with customers and internalteams. Someone that is also comfortable with sales and comfortable withpresenting in front of a large audience.
