Our client, a Funeral Assurance Group based in Durban is currently in search of a Group Risk Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for the establishment and implementation of a risk and compliance framework for the Group to effectively manage all risk exposures that pose and internal/external threat to the Group of Companies and ensure compliance to internal processes and policies, applicable laws and regulations, across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk and Compliance related field
- High levels of computer literacy
Experience and Knowledge required:
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in managing risk and compliance functions in a corporate environment and seven (7) years of which have
been at Management Level - Knowledge of Corporate Regulatory Environment
- Business Continuity Management
- Regulatory and Legal Frameworks
- Risk Management and Compliance Policies, Strategies and Procedures
- Fraud prevention strategies and their implementation
- Proven experience in strategy and Business Development
- Experience in the Insurance/ Funeral Assurance industry
- A valid Driver’s license and willingness to travel for business purposes.
