Vacancy - EHS Manager
Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional, excited by the opportunity to play a key role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring the working environment is made progressively safer? Are you passionate about Health and Safety, with previous experience in a managerial role? We are seeking an EHS Manager to join our team at the Port of Liverpool and help us keep the world moving!
Your Role
In this role you will support all levels of the Containers division to implement safe systems of work and safe behavioural practices. You will act as lead investigator for all personal harm incidents and near misses, ensuring systems and practices are reviewed an updated accordingly as a result.
You will continuously drive improvements to reduce accidents and incidents across the Containers divisions, reviewing EHS policies, safe systems of work and training packs whilst also engaging, coaching and communicating with all levels of the division. You will ensure all internal audits are undertaken and all KPIs and Objectives are met.
What you'll bring
You will have proven experience in a health and safety role, ideally in a senior/managerial role. You will be an experience accident investigator with a sound knowledge of root cause analysis. With excellent communication skills, you will have the ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of the business.
Qualified to a minimum NEBOSH General or Construction certificate, NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent) would be desirable. You will have strong knowledge of UK EHS legislation and its application into the workplace. A full valid driving licence is essential for this role.
