The purpose of this role will be to take responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and running the finance activities for the division.
This position will report directly to the Managing Director of the division, and indirectly to the Group Financial Manager.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and mentor staff
- Financial reporting and management accounts
- Assist with preparation of Board Reports
- Management and safeguarding of company assets
- Track financial performance and identify areas for improvement
- Minimise financial risk
- Approval of transactions and release payments
- Cash and working capital management
- Assist with stock management, oversee stock takes and assist with reconciling variances
- Review creditors recons
- Authorise monthly payroll
- Assist HR with BEE and Health and Safety compliance
- Prepare annual budgets
- Provisional and IFRS calculations
- Assist with Internal and External Audits
- Participate in union negotiations
Education:
- Minimum BCom Honours Degree required
- Qualified CA(SA) preferred
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 5 to 6 years post-articles experience in a full function group finance role essential
- Manufacturing industry experience essential
- Experience with cost control and financial analysis essential
- Knowledge of stock and inventory processes and principles
