Job Title: Operations Manager - Construction (Aluminum Experience Advantageous)
Location: Montague Gardens, Western Cape
Reporting Line: Senior Project Manager
Qualification Requirements: - Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field would be advantageous
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Construction Management, preferably with aluminum-related projects.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery, with strong costing, quality control, and quoting skills.
- Strong leadership and management abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction regulations, codes, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Oversee site operations, including safety management, quality control, and labor relations.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including costing, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and submit accurate quotes and tenders, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and ensuring timely delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, implementing changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage and mentor site staff, providing guidance and training to ensure skill development.
