DBA/Application Support Analyst required for established FinTech company based in West London. Hybrid working (1 - 2 days per month in office), excellent salary, bonus and generous benefits. Collaborative working environment.
Key skills;
- Proven IT software applications (web. Mobile) and DBA support experience (Required).
- Proven Handson experience in supporting or building solutions using Azure cloud services like Azure data factory, blob storage, Function app and logic app (Required).
- Good understanding on web or mobile apps built using .net/Angular or similar software solutions.
- Knowledge or experience in writing PowerShell scripts
- Experience in API management (Required).
- Proven hands-on experience in creating SSIS packages, writing stored procedures, analysing and resolving DB performance issues. Ability to troubleshoot data load failures and resolving them, building SSRS reports, writing complex SQL (Required).
- Good knowledge in SQL DB set up including configurations, SQL DB cluster management. (Required).
- Proven hands-on experience in Monitoring and alerting tools e.g SolarWinds, DPA (Database performance Analyser) or any other similar tools (Required).
Responsibilities;
- To provide 2nd and 3rd line support for all applications in scope, DBA activities following ITIL service management processes and SLAs
- Restore application and DB services quickly either with temporary or permanent solutions implementation, to meet customer satisfaction.
- Perform detail root cause analysis to identify permanent solutions for the Incident/problem tickets.
- Ensure business, IT teams and other internal and external stakeholders are well informed on the ticket progress and updates.
- Ensure L2/L3 services are delivered with quality and to customer satisfaction.
- Automate repetitive tasks to help application support team and DBA members focus on other value-added activities.
- Create monitoring and alerts using SolarWinds, DPA or other monitoring/observability tools to ensure high availability of applications/DBs and underlying services.
- Analysing and resolving DB performance issues.
- Debugging DB failures and resolving them within the Target SLAs
