Department: Plumbing
Reporting to: Department Supervisor
Purpose: To assist customers by helping them choose a product that is best suitable for their needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and generating sales to promote business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend to customers in a professional and helpful manner.
- Generate more sales and ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service.
- Control stock levels and conduct regular stock counts.
- Advise customers on products that best solve their problems.
- Place stock orders with buyers if necessary.
- Attend to relevant admin tasks including upkeep of customer books, special orders file, and forwarding invoices.
- Ensure proper merchandising and correct pricing of products.
- Participate in perpetual stock takes.
- Ensure good housekeeping of the work area.
- Perform any work-related tasks as delegated by a superior.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric or Equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Hardware environment.
- Basic product exposure (must have spent at least 2 years with Plumbing products).
- 2 x Department Product Knowledge Certificates.
- Natural sales flair.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written).
