Central Reservations Manager – Hotel Chain
The Reservations Manager is responsible for managing the reservations process and operation in the properties – 5 Hotels with a total of 465 Rooms, by coaching and motivating the team to deliver quality guest service and meet financial targets for the property. He/She also ensures that the reservations team adhere to policies and procedures implemented by the property, while working with the team to promote internal sales and upselling of all facilities.
The Reservations Manager works closely with the Revenue Management team to implement pricing strategy of the property and manage day-to-day optimal room occupancy.
The Reservations Manager ensures all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity, and is responsible for best practice standards for optimal profitability and occupancy of the rooms. He/She also controls and analyses departmental costs to ensure performance is within budget and conducts recruitment and training for the reservations team.
Tasks
- Management of 6 Booking Agents for 5 hotels with a total of 465 rooms.
- Manage the Online Travel Agencies.
- Analyse and recommend best practices and technology in hospitality.
- Apply systems thinking in problem solving and decision making.
- Comply with legal requirements in a lodging property.
- Develop self to maintain professional competence at senior management level.
- Drive service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate innovation and lead team leaders to implement change.
- Facilitate the implementation of a productivity framework.
- Lead managers to develop organisational and governance strategies.
- Manage and review systems and processes.
- Manage crisis situations.
- Manage customer acquisition and retention programmes.
- Manage human resources in the department – 6 Booking Agents.
- Manage the service brand.
- Plan, conduct and evaluate orientation training.
- Prepare budget for the business unit.
