The IT Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of IT projects and services, ensuring they align with business goals and are completed on time, within scope, and budget. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of project management, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and IT service management.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of IT projects.
- Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, risk management, and budgeting.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are captured and delivered.
- Conduct regular status meetings and provide project updates to stakeholders.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers / scrum masters, business analysts, developers, and other IT professionals.
- Allocate resources effectively and ensure the team has the necessary skills and tools to succeed.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment within the team.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop mitigation strategies to address potential risks.
- Resolve any issues that may arise during project delivery.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve project delivery processes and methodologies.
- Implement best practices in project management, Agile, and ITIL frameworks.
- Drive innovation and efficiency within the IT delivery team.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the project budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and financial targets are met.
- Provide regular financial reports to senior management.
