Medical Practice Manager (with billing experience), Pinetown - KZN
Our client, a specialist Neurosurgeon, based in Pinetown, is seeking to recruit a Practice Manager and Personal Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting and assisting patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Diary Management of patients and doctor
- Theatre bookings and arrangements
- Obtaining authorizations from medical aids for procedures
- Motivation letters
- Strong knowledge of ICD10 coding
- Invoicing and medical aid submissions
- Processing claims timeously and following up on short payments and rejections and attending to patient liable accounts
- Attending to collections and maintaining a healthy debtor's book
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including hospital staff
Qualification and requirements:
- Matric
- Driver's license and own transport
- At least 3 years' experience in a surgical practice
- Knowledge of Neurosurgical coding is an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- VeriClaim experience is an advantage
- Microsoft Office Suite experience is an advantage
Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised
- Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
- Hardworking and reliable
- Good attention to detail and the processing of accurate information
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 08h00 - 17h00
- Overtime as required
