Our client a Civil Engineering Contractor based in West Sussex are looking for a Lead Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager, working with site teams, clients, Department Heads & the Board of Directors. The HSEQ Manager will receive a generous salary up to £75k + Car allowance or Salary Sacrifice Electric / Hybrid Car Scheme, company bonus and Private Healthcare and 25 days holiday. The companies’ specialities span across a variety of different sectors including water and waste water, infrastructure and coastal protection.Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager Position OverviewLead and manage the Health, Safety, Environment & Quality departmentResponsibility for all aspects of developing, implementing & maintaining the Quality Management System and driving H&S, Environment and Quality standards.Ensuring that staff are carrying out design and construction activities in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015 and the Contractor’s Health and Safety Management PlanSupport the Client in their partnership with MIND to promote positive mental Demonstrate compliance with best practice and meet or exceed all statutory obligationsDevelop and implement plans for reward and recognition of HSEQ good practice or behaviour.Coordinates drug and alcohol procedures to meet the screening, supporting and disciplining requirements described in the Contractor’s corporate policiesProvides a progress update on HSW as part of Monthly ReportEnsure all H&S legislation and rules are followed.Carry out site inspections & audits to ensure high standards & project targets are met Investigate & report on all accidents, incidents & near misses Establish & actively promote working relationships between all sites, througheffective communication & ensuring any procedures are followed.Attend Health and Safety meetings.Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager Position RequirementsAt least 10 years’ experience in Civil EngineeringExperience of overseeing Health and Safety for a large organisationA recognised Health & Safety qualification – NEBOSH Construction or similarExperience of managing multi-skilled teams, establishing performance expectations & initiativesUnderstanding of the principles of H&S issues, compliance & legislation CSCS card and SEATS / Mental Health First Aid (desirable)Quality Management Systems (ISO9001), Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001), Health & Safety Management Systems (ISO45001)CDM Regulations 2015 and the Contractor’s Health and Safety Management PlanFull driving licenceHealth, Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager Position RemunerationSalary – Dependent on experience Company Car / Allowance 25 Days holiday + BHPension up to 10% match PhoneAnnual discretionary bonus
