At Everrati, each day brings fresh and exciting opportunities to see your work come to life!The role focuses on developing full vehicle electrical systems and controls, enhancing our existing VCU platform, and collaborating with external partners for complex software projects.Role: Control Systems EngineerSalary: £35k to £50k + PackageCompany: EverratiLocation: Oxfordshire - Upper HeyfordWorking Arrangement: Hybrid WFH - 2/3 days per weekKey Responsibilities:Simulink Model DevelopmentLead the development of the next generation of ECUs through model-based software development, including SIL, HIL, and vehicle testing and validation, supporting a platform approach to EV design.Vehicle-Level Control ArchitectureInvolved in defining the vehicle-level control architecture and strategy, reporting to the Lead Systems Engineer to ensure project technical requirements are met.Design and Development:Responsible for the design, development, and delivery of multiple LV vehicle systems software and hardware across various electric vehicle projects. Working closely with the mechanical design and integration team to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.Compliance and TestingDevelop system-level DFMEA and DVP, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards. Execute component, system, and vehicle-level testing to support DVP completion.Requirements GenerationProduce system and component-level requirements documents and manage suppliers to deliver hardware in line with project milestones.Hands-On SupportProvide hands-on support to the workshop team and build technicians, diagnosing complex electrical issues on prototype vehicles in a build environment. Document build processes and engineering changes.Project ManagementOwn the Bill of Materials (BoM), budget, and project timing plan for your systems/projects. Manage suppliers to deliver hardware in line with project milestonesEssential QualificationsA sound understanding of vehicle control strategies and model based software development.Experience in automotive system design, development and delivery.Understanding of vehicle electrical and control architectureFamiliarity with DFMEA and DVP processesUnderstanding of CANbus systems and data log analysis.Desirable QualificationsElectrical hardware design and developmentHands on experience in working on vehicles in a workshop environment.Knowledge of vehicle low voltage systems and harnessing best practices.Experience in LV harness designKnowledge of EV system architecture including motors, traction inverters, DCDC converters, power distribution chargers and thermal systems.Experience with functional safety and EV legislative standards (e.g ISO26262 and UNECE REG100).Willingness to learn and get involved in all aspects of vehicle development.If this is of interest please apply on LinkedIn or email george.taylor@everec.co.uk
