Copello are now looking for several Mechanical Design Engineers on behalf of a Defence Prime, who are delivering on current gen and next-gen programmes.This role does offer a generous hybrid working pattern, with travel to the North West being mandatory. As a Mechanical Designer, the role will be producing 3D models of either Piping routes, Mechanical compartment arrangements and HVAC systems using AutoCAD. As part of your responsibilities, it will also include producing 2D drawings.Skills and experienceUnderstanding of CAD toolsets e.g. Solidworks & Siemens in both 2D and 3D.HNC / ONC level or degree qualification in a relevant STEM subject.An understanding of Mechanical routed systems 2D/3D in either HVAC or PipingExperience in Mechanical Compartment Integration / Room Integration and or Engineering Standards at Component / Equipment levelOur client would also consider applications with experience in another high hazardous industry, such as Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Aerospace, Maritime and Automotive.If you're interested in this role and wish to apply - please send your CV to aaron@copello.co.ukDue to the Nature of the position, to be considered you must be eligible to obtain UK SC Clearance and must be a sole British Citizen.
