The Role: You will take charge of managing high-value, business-critical contracts, and this role goes beyond just Distribution. It's targeted toward Indirect Generalists and open to those with Professional Services or Facilities Procurement expertise. Prior Distribution categry experience is not required- what matters most is your ability to handle large, multi-million-pound contracts and lead complex procurement operations across various categories.
This role will allow you to influence strategic sourcing projects across critical subcategories, including fleet, freight, road transport, haulage, warehousing, 3PL, distribution, and automation, while working closely with C-suite stakeholders, giving you high visibility and the chance to make your mark.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in Indirect Procurement, especially in Professional Services or Facilities, or broader generalist procurement.
- A degree (or equivalent qualification); CIPS or MCIPS preferred.
- Expertise in managing large spends, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to engage at the highest levels of an organization.
- A proactive, relationship-driven leader who thrives under pressure and enjoys problem-solving in complex environments.
