Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
- Strong technical knowledge of Planetary Gearbox Design, Operation, and application.
- Business development targeting key customers and key applications for planetary gearboxes.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical products.
- Understanding the OEM market and customers that utilize Planetary gear units.
- Electro-Mechanical product support to customers and BMG branches.
- Provide technical and product training to internal sales branch staff.
- Ability and willingness to travel is a requirement – National and Africa. 80% Travel / 20% Office.
- Co-ordinate market research, design, manufacturing, sales projections, budgets, promotional campaigns, etc.
- Responsible for identifying possible markets for new products.
- Evaluate & understand market-related pricing levels.
- Advise on contract pricing & special orders.
- Drive disciplined labour charge-out pricing practices.
- Follow competitive trends & activities.
- Product and Application troubleshooting resolved by employing acquired skills and supported by technical supplier references.
- Outcomes followed through professionally.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12.
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Computer literate (MS Office - PowerPoint & Excel Essential).
- 5 Years External sales experience within the electro-mechanical environment, Gears, or Power Transmission.
- External sales experience on Planetary gearboxes will be advantageous.
- Must be able to travel extensively. 80% Travel / 20% Office – National & Africa.
- Proven Track Record.
